Project Manager, Higher Education

DLR Group is an integrated, employee-owned design firm committed to improving lives through exceptional design, seeking a strategic and collaborative Project Manager to oversee higher education projects focusing on quality, budget management, and team leadership.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit, Vantagepoint, Planifi, and Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Project
  • Strong knowledge of local building and zoning codes
  • Expertise in design techniques, technical plans, drawings, and sustainable design principles
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining high-quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Support business development by engaging in RFQ, RFP, and interview processes
  • Negotiate scope of services, fees, and prepare agreements with clients and consultants
  • Accurately maintain client and project information in management systems
  • Develop and adjust comprehensive project plans including schedules and staffing
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, vendors, and consultants to meet project goals
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and quality standards compliance
  • Communicate project status, identify adjustments, and propose solutions for changes
  • Provide leadership, feedback, and assist in recruiting project team members
  • Establish clear communication with clients to ensure timely project progress
  • Collaborate with design leaders to maintain quality and integrate expertise

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design
