Staff Flight Test Engineer
Skills
- Strong understanding of SUAS/Quadcopter engineering principles and regulations including National Airspace System.
- Proficient in test planning, execution, analysis, and documentation.
- Software and documentation expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capability to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans to achieve Test & Evaluation (T&E) goals for Small UAS/Quadcopter aircraft.
- Lead system and sub-system level ground and flight testing including planning, conducting, analyzing, and documenting results.
- Focus on aircraft development areas including electronics, avionics, propulsion, flight characteristics, and rugged design.
- Drive process improvements related to test engineering and contribute to overall product quality at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new aircraft development and qualification testing.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
