VP, Nashville - The Orchard

The Orchard is a global full-service music distribution company seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial VP in Nashville to lead the local office, drive business growth, cultivate industry relationships, and inspire a high-performing team.

Skills

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Operate onsite in Nashville office four days a week.
  • Attract, sign, and retain labels, artists, and internal talent.
  • Drive content acquisition and business development in the local market.
  • Oversee local P&L with specific growth targets for revenue, market share, and profit.
  • Implement global company values and culture locally to staff, clients, and industry.
  • Manage and expand client relationships across various music genres and label types.
  • Cultivate industry connections including DSPs, management companies, industry bodies, and Sony Music Nashville.
  • Manage local office operations including staffing and infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute team business plans and KPIs focused on client revenue growth and retention.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Management, Service, and Partnerships for margin and fee growth.
  • Maintain open communication with executive leadership and client teams for feedback and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot client and account issues working with internal stakeholders.
  • Promote adoption of The Orchard’s platform tools and services among clients.
  • Represent company at industry events and conferences.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet client and retail partner business needs.
  • Hire, train, and retain a high-performing team.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Business, Music, Marketing, or related field.
