Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Tax Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Income Tax Compliance & Audit Manager.
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive and lead all aspects of federal, state, and local income tax compliance and audits, as well as manage tax staff.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Tax Operations the person in this role will support the Tax department's objective to provide world-class service on a timely basis with accuracy and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing
Ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns and other related tax documents as required by tax laws and regulations.
Strategic audit defense of returns filed.
Lead, train, and coach tax staff.
Research and analyze both existing and proposed statutory and regulatory tax requirements.
Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions.
Create project plans, solve problems, and develop new methods of analysis with an emphasis on efficiency and process improvements.
What you bring
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
Substantial experience and understanding of tax law, tax compliance, and tax accounting.
Added bonus if you have
CPA certification
Graduate Degree with emphasis in Taxation
Big 4 management experience
Tax controversy experience
Corptax software experience
Supervisory/management experience.
