Brand Marketing Manager | Acorns

Acorns is looking for a Brand Marketing Manager who’s excited to build a brand that stands for something bigger — financial wellness for everyone. In this role, you’ll lead integrated campaigns that don’t just market a product — they tell a story, spark action, and make our mission feel personal to millions. You’ll help shape the voice of a brand that’s redefining how families think about money, working with a team that values bold ideas, creative collaboration, and purpose-driven storytelling.
This role reports to the Director of Brand Marketing.
Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social, email, in-app, PR, partnerships, and more.) to enhance brand awareness, consideration, and understanding of Acorns' value proposition.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Product, Creative, Education, Analytics, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure brand consistency and successful campaign delivery.
Consistently bring fresh, innovative, and highly creative ideas to the table for creative concepts, brand activations, and more.
Work closely with the Creative and Marketing team to craft compelling brand narratives and messaging that resonates with our target audiences and clearly articulates Acorns' mission and benefits
Be on the pulse of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities and optimize brand strategies.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for brand initiatives, track performance, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
Partner with external agencies and vendors as needed, managing relationships and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Champion brand guidelines internally and externally, ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and visual identity across all marketing touchpoints.
What You Bring to the Table:
5+ years of relevant experience in brand marketing, social media, or similar roles
Proven experience managing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns from inception to completion.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaborative spirit and proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and compelling storytelling.
Analytical capabilities to comfortably use data analysis to inform strategy and measure performance.
Demonstrated understanding of consumer behavior and brand building principles, and how to apply those to marketing strategies.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills—you craft compelling messages and have a portfolio that shows off a strong brand voice and eye for visuals.
Creative and strategic thinking—you’re always asking, What’s next? What should we be doing that we aren’t?

Compensation Information:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $135,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
