Strategic Business Development Representative - West

Chainguard is a company focused on securing software development and deployment through guarded open source software. We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative with a strong interest in cybersecurity and sales experience to join our remote team and help drive revenue growth.

Skills

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, products, and services.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify potential clients using cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and industry events.
  • Conduct research on prospects to uncover security needs and decision-makers.
  • Generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads and meet weekly/monthly targets.
  • Qualify leads by matching business requirements with Chainguard’s security solutions.
  • Schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team with qualified prospects.
  • Collaborate with sales on targeted strategies for industries, regions, or clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, and interactions in CRM systems.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and emerging security technologies.
  • Attend sales training and team meetings to improve skills and product knowledge.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams from prospect interactions.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
