- Extensive senior compliance experience in crypto, investment banking, or hedge funds
- Strong knowledge of KYC/AML, sanctions screening, payments, and trade monitoring
- Experience with prime brokerage, collateral management, and digital assets
- Familiarity with US regulator regimes including SEC, DFS, OFAQ, and OCC
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory/legal and compliance issues
- Commercially aware with strong risk assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience applying technology for regulatory oversight and reporting
- Calm and professional interaction with senior management and boards
Responsibilities
- Manage Americas Compliance including AML/KYC operations and regulatory licensing requirements
- Act as the designated Sanctions Officer and execute the sanctions program
- Primary contact for all 314a and 314b regulatory requests
- Oversee money laundering reporting and implement AML/CTF regulations
- Develop and maintain compliance and financial crime monitoring procedures
- Align compliance controls with Americas regulatory framework and assist risk assessments
- Advise on applicable laws and regulatory changes across Copper’s global business
- Coordinate reporting and disclosures to US and other relevant regulators
- Support regulatory exams and audits, prepare related documentation
- Foster cooperative culture within Compliance and broader business teams
Education
- Relevant degree in law, finance, compliance or related field preferred
