Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain resolution of payroll tax notices across local, state, and federal jurisdictions
- Resolve tax notice inquiries generated internally and by the Customer Support team within SLA
- Prepare amended payroll tax returns including W2C’s
- Research and follow up with clients and taxing authorities for tax notice resolution and abatements
- Triage issues requiring engineering intervention
- Monitor and identify trends in payroll tax issues
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Maintain internal resources on payroll tax policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Finance, and Compliance
- Train new team members and provide progress reports
- Perform related duties as assigned
Education
- No strict degree requirement specified
- American Payroll Association (APA) Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
