- Technologically savvy with experience in multiple payroll/tax systems.
- Ability to manage multi-state tax accounts and filing cycles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily execution, team performance, and operational health of the Payroll Tax pod.
- Ensure accurate daily tax data imports and timely tax payments.
- Manage filing lifecycle including pre-filing, execution, and documentation.
- Track and report on pod KPIs, conduct audits, and facilitate coaching.
- Manage resource capacity and serve as escalation point for operational issues.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, cross-training and team development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve state-specific payroll tax issues.
- Maintain SOPs, filing calendars and ensure alignment with tax regulations.
Education
- Minimum 3+ years in payroll tax environment.
- At least 1 year in a lead or supervisory payroll tax role.
- American Payroll Association (APA) FPC or CPP preferred.
