Associate Tax Analyst

- Strong foundation in tax and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Experience with Avalara Returns, NetSuite, or similar financial systems.
- Ability to manage recurring compliance tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn new tax tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file monthly U.S. sales and use tax returns using Avalara Returns.
- Review data, exceptions, and perform reconciliations for indirect and direct tax accounts.
- Monitor and research sales tax notices and track resolutions.
- Assist with corporate income tax provision calculations and SOX controls.
- Support indirect tax audits, taxability, and nexus research as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting and Finance teams.
- Support international indirect tax and compliance efforts.
- Implement process improvements and special projects with guidance.
Education
- Relevant educational background in tax, accounting, or related field.
