Description
The Project Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day packaging needs which include tracking artwork requests and proofs, maintaining product specifications, and ensuring brand consistency and industry standards are being met. This role requires a high level of accuracy and consistency from initial request to final approvals. Position must manage the workflow, collaborate with various teams, and utilize software to track and manage data and artwork across different partners.

Responsibilities:
Tracking Workflow and Deliverables
· Track and schedule workflow from initial artwork request to final deliverables
· Communicate deadlines, monitor progress, resolve problems, and ensure timely action in all artwork tasks
Data Management
· Maintain and update internal packaging specifications
· Manage data requirements on retail platforms utilizing GDSN
· Perform regular maintenance on other data and digital assets in-house and on customer platforms
Artwork Management/Distribution
· Effectively manage multiple packaging design projects concurrently and within deadlines
· Work closely with graphic design agencies. While not a graphic design position, you will prepare final artwork files for print production using Adobe Illustrator
· Ensure food labeling regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA), and packaging standards are met
· Distribute and maintain artwork files systematically for easy and timely access
· Review and troubleshoot design proofs; communicate with internal and external stakeholders
· Support other graphic related projects
Support Product Management/Sales
· Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects
· Collaborate with internal departments and SBU’s focusing on their packaging, specifications, and imagery needs
· Communicate updates and changes to various teams
· Utilize artwork and specifications for various support materials
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills Required
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or closely related field
· 3+ years’ relevant experience working in project tracking & workflows and print production for packaging
· Strong software aptitude in Adobe Suite, Microsoft products, data management software required. Knowledge of retail platforms and GDSN a plus
· Above average skills in proofreading with keen attention to detail
· Time management and ability to coordinate activity with outside vendors
· Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
· Self-motivated team player with a result-oriented attitude and creative background
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Familiarity with packaging materials and printing processes preferred but not required
· Familiarity with food labeling regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA), packaging standards, and industry best practices a plus
· Minimal travel
