HR Manager - job 1 of 2

Shearer's is a leading contract manufacturer and private label supplier in the snack industry with a strong presence in North America. They are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for their Massillon, Ohio facility to lead HR functions, foster positive employee relations, and support operational success through strategic and hands-on HR management.

Skills

  • Strong data analytics and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with complex HRIS preferred.
  • Effective project management and program execution ability.
  • Interpersonal skills promoting credible customer service approach.
  • Leadership and team building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead HR coordination for the manufacturing and logistics facility.
  • Identify and address employee attrition and retention in partnership with HR peers.
  • Lead onboarding and ensure administrative accuracy with benefits and HR systems.
  • Provide leadership on associate relations, training, and policy execution.
  • Develop programs promoting positive associate relations and union avoidance.
  • Consult on employment policy and approve corrective actions including terminations.
  • Ensure safety compliance in coordination with Corporate Safety and Security.
  • Administer workers compensation and manage corporate projects as directed.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
