The News Literacy Project is seeking a Vice President of K-12 Engagement to oversee marketing, district partnerships, and user support teams to expand the impact of their news literacy education programs across the nation.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include leading growth strategies, managing marketing and partnerships, and collaborating with other executive leaders to support organizational initiatives.
Skills: Candidates should have experience in team management, marketing, sales growth strategy, social media, and preferably in public education.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience, with at least 10 years of professional experience and 5 years in team and growth strategy management is preferred.
Location: This is a fully virtual position, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation: $120000 - $130000 / Annually

About the position
While NLP is working toward systemic change — ensuring all students are taught news literacy skills before graduation — we are also working to make news literacy education available for as many students as possible today. To that end, this executive position will oversee the marketing, district partnershipand user support teams, with the primary goal of unifying these services to drive continuous growth of our direct impact metrics (metrics measuring the number of educators, students and districts using our resources). About you
This position will directly impact many thousands of educators and hundreds of thousands of students in schools across the country, playing a pivotal role in shaping and achieving our organizational strategy. Compensation and benefits
The salary for this position is $120,000 to $130,000, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Our Interview Process
Candidates selected to participate will be asked to complete a skills assessment (1-2 hours) and up to three rounds of virtual interviews (2-3 hours total). Interviews are conducted one-on-one and in group settings. Finalists will be asked to provide references.
