Responsibilities
- Set strategy and oversee employment-related legal matters to align with company culture and values
- Provide expert legal counsel on wage compliance, workplace harassment prevention, employment classifications, and litigation management
- Manage and supervise outside counsel on employment litigation including class actions and administrative proceedings
- Advise People team on employment policies, employee relations, investigations, performance management, and compliance
- Handle internal investigations, regulatory compliance, employment audits, and risk mitigation in logistics and operations
- Prepare and negotiate employment and separation agreements
- Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and advise accordingly
- Support and manage non-employment legal matters as needed
- Collaborate with legal team on cross-functional projects
- Provide strategic advice to senior executives on high-level employment issues
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Membership in California State Bar in good standing
