Global Key Account Manager

Description

The Global Key Account Manager will generate sustained Davlyn revenue growth by supporting customers such as distribution partners, OEM’s and end users of key industries. This role will define customer technical requirements, provide effective product solutions, and effectively manage key accounts while expanding to new customers in focused areas.


Davlyn Group is a fast growing, privately owned technical textile company based in Spring City, PA, just outside of Philadelphia, with additional locations in Norristown, PA, Independence, VA and Juarez, Mexico. Through our Amatex, Darco Southern, Davlyn Manufacturing, and Norfab businesses, our products and engineering services are used by thousands of customers in over 50 countries to help keep heat in its place, improve safety, and increase productivity. DGH is a leading manufacturer of technical textiles, fabrics and yarns used in the appliance industry, industrial markets, and personal protective equipment (PPE).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and grow existing Davlyn industrial accounts within your assigned territory to achieve company sales and profit targets
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through researched, identified and focused target accounts
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Davlyn Group products, markets and applications
  • Maintaining CRM to make sure all contacts, accounts and opportunities are current and complete
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Serve as a conduit for communication between customers and internal teams (i.e. Engineering, Production, etc.)
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills. 
  • Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold and customer needs.  
  • Organized with attention to detail.  
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Satisfactory problem-solving skills to help resolve customer complaints or needs
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Administration or Business Management, Engineering or a like field.  
  • Preferred: +4 years of experience working with sales/account management for industrial customers.
  • Must have the ability to extensively travel, up to 70%, for customer interaction.
  • Experience with distribution channels into oil & gas, aerospace, automotive and core industrial markets.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license and passport.


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • This is an remote, full-time, exempt position.
  • The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch.
  • May need to work irregular or extended hours to accommodate client schedules and travel.


ORGANIZATIONAL LEVELING:

This role is an individual contributor, someone who provides specialized work & expertise and contributes directly to the Organization’s success without managing other people.


TRAVEL:

Up to 70% travel, both domestically and internationally.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk or in meetings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Varied settings such as corporate offices, customer sites, trade shows and remote work while at home or traveling.
  • May be exposed to both indoor and outdoor, climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas.
  • Extensive travel.
