Summary

HP Specialty Printing & Technology Solutions (SPTS) is an end-to-end P&L business within HP that leverages Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) technology, which it markets and sells to OEMs who develop specialty printers for specific uses outside of HP’s core markets. The Product Marketing Manager role position within the SPTS business is comprehensive and comparable to small business management, covering the entire 4P marketing mix and all aspects of the P&L, and provides the opportunity for learning, ownership, significant contribution, and career development which can serve as a foundation into larger business management roles.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Lead development of 4P marketing strategy for new segments for SPTS
  • Develop and execute plans for launching and marketing new products
  • Conduct competitor research, assessment, and response options, working through insights from customers, Sales/Account managers, select industry tradeshows, and internet
  • Work effectively with other departments from engineering, and sales to establish minimum viable criteria for new products
  • Construct and test pricing and P&L financial models to address multiple variables, sensitivity/elasticity, and scenarios, then make recommendations. Drive and support FY financial goal achievement from managed current product portfolio.
  • Provide input into Plan-of-Record (POR) and 5-year Long-Term Plan (LTP)
  • Manage the planning, execution, and post-launch analysis of new products. 

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management, Marketing, or other relevant field.  MBA a plus
  • 7+ years of hands-on Marketing or Product Development/Management experience
  • Financial experience involving forecasting, pricing, scenario planning, and business case development

 

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Strategic thinking and analysis skillset
  • Strong business/marketing acumen
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly present complex ideas to Executive level management
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results
  • Confident and comfortable interacting with customers in person and on phone
  • Confident and comfortable with financial/pricing modeling to develop a solid financial plan
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong follow-thru and follow-up
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and effectively work within a cross-functional team
  • Positive attitude with Growth Mindset

Salary:

The pay range for this role is $104,800 to $149,350 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
