Sr. Sales Engineer - Federal

Corelight is a leading network detection and response platform company backed by top-tier venture capital, seeking a motivated Sr. Sales Engineer for their Federal Team to promote cybersecurity solutions and develop trusted technical relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have strong security expertise, pre-sales experience, and a start-up mindset.

Skills

  • Expert written and oral communication skills
  • Expert presentation skills
  • Strong networking knowledge including packet capture analysis
  • Deep understanding of information security principles
  • Experience with network security monitoring, incident response, or blue team operations
  • Penetration testing or red team experience
  • Design and implementation experience in cloud-based security solutions
  • Understanding of SOC security processes and methodologies
  • Familiarity with network, endpoint, cloud, and SIEM technologies for threat hunting
  • Programming or scripting knowledge
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for Corelight cybersecurity solutions
  • Provide trusted advisor-level technical expertise to customers
  • Develop sales presentations, solution designs, and demonstrations showcasing technical and business value
  • Execute customer proof-of-concepts addressing specific needs
  • Design technical solutions tailored to customer business problems
  • Stay current on security landscape, vulnerabilities, and trends
  • Research competitive and complementary solutions
  • Contribute to content development such as whitepapers, blogs, and webinars
  • Collaborate within team and share best practices
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with channel partners
  • Remove technology-related objections from sales processes
  • Track customer engagements using Salesforce

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent work experience
