Location: Vandalia, OH, USA (onsite)
As our next HR Generalist, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional HR support, driving employee engagement, managing HR systems, and ensuring compliance with local and organizational processes. Your expertise in HR operations and communication will be vital in enhancing employee satisfaction and enabling business success.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and contingent hiring activities
• Manage HRIS systems and update job/salary data in Workday
• Lead local rewards and recognition programs (JEwel, On the Spot, Seniority Awards)
• Organize and support JEnerations Committee events and calendar
• Deploy global DE&I initiatives and lead local resource group efforts
• Conduct pulse checks and support training for DL/IDL employees
• Provide FMLA/STD/ADA guidance and manage related leave processes
• Track KPIs, manage attendance and bonus payments
• Provide payroll backup for DL/IDL and temporary staff
• Conduct interviews, support onboarding, and process HR transactions (PARs)
• Handle benefit checks, unemployment claims, and invoice processing
• Support ISO requirements and EAP/open enrollment efforts
• Initiate investigations and partner with senior HR leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR function
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, especially Workday
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
• Experience in employee relations and conflict resolution
• Familiarity with labor laws and compliance processes
• Passion for employee engagement and DE&I initiatives
