Furnace Account Manager

Description

The Furnace Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with the company’s most strategic HVAC-related clients. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial HVAC systems, customer operations, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that drive long-term value. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring client satisfaction while identifying opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Lead by example with a Safety-First mindset in every task
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key HVAC industry clients with a focus on large retail accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions
  • Understand client needs and technical requirements related to industrial HVAC systems
  • Collaborate with engineering, customer service, finance and product teams to deliver appropriate solutions
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close agreements to maximize profitable revenue
  • Monitor account performance, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding service offerings
  • Resolve client issues with urgency and professionalism, escalating when necessary
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in HVAC systems
  • Collaborate with other Riverbend Industries HVAC organizations to cross sell products and oversee common customers

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field
  •  5+ years of experience in key account management, preferably in the industrial furnace or thermal processing industry
  •  Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and applications
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings and site visits.
